Dates: 27th and 28th January, 2024.
The 24th Gladiators Scrabble Championship 🏆 was held at our BVS Parsi High School from 27th-28th January, 2024. More than 1300 players took part in it in two days. Around 100 players took part from BVS and all did well. Muhammad Hamza of 3-C stood 3rd in Category A. Hamza Bin Hammad of 5-B stood 1st in Category C. Ali Fahad of 6-E stood 2nd in Category C. Zayan Zaman Khan of 7-D stood 1st in Category E. Virbaijeeite Mujtaba Naseem (10-A 2023 Batch) stood 1st in Category H. Virbaijeeite Zulfiqar Qureshi (11-E 2023 Batch) stood 3rd in Category H.
Muhammad Bilal Asher of 7-E received a special prize on becoming the World Champion 🏆 of U- 12 age Category and on being part of the World Record Created by Pakistani Youth Players as 4 players of Pakistan finished in the top 10 at the WESPA Youth Scrabble Championship 🏆 which was held at Thailand and Bilal Asher was 6th in the whole World. This is the 5th Tournament organized by PSA which was hosted by BVS.
Our Principal, Mrs. Mehernaz Bharucha was present on Day one and she appreciated the efforts and gameplay of all our boys. She was the guest of Honour and distributed shields among the winners. The Scrabble Training Sessions for Gladiators were successfully conducted at the BVS Parsi High School prior to the tournament on 20th and 23rd January, 2024. U-12 World Scrabble Champion Muhammad Bilal Asher 7-E conducted the sessions.
