All these craft activities were specially made for Mother’s Day so students could gift them to their Moms.
Clean Up Day
Keeping the classroom clean isn’t just the janitor’s job, so students of Grades 2 and 3 brought cleaning supplies from home and scrubbed and rubbed their desks, chairs, windows, walls, floor. In the end they were proud of their neat clean shiny classroom.
Dress up Day
Students of Grades 1/2/3 walked into the school on their allotted dress up day dressed up as notable characters from movies, books, television, cartoons, sports. Many students chose to be Harry Potter, sports Icon Lionel Messi cricketers, Spiderman, batman etc. Some unique and praiseworthy dress up characters were Wizard, Butcher, Santa Claus, Spaceman, Farmer, Allama Iqbal, Quaid-e-Azam etc. Prizes were given to the best dressed characters. Special kudos to parents for preparing their sons as it was too difficult for the judges to pick out the best.
Show and Tell Day
Students of Grades 1 ABC brought in something favourite or dear to them to school and shared their experiences and introduced the same to their classmates. This activity taught them about public speaking and share something new with their friends. Some students bought their pet birds in cage, photo album.
Teachers’ Day Off Dads as Teachers
Dads are great masters, their guidance is truly priceless. Selected Dads of Grades 1/2/3 came to school and took over the class of their son as teachers for that day. Dads had a great day conducting different activities, told stories, taught moral values and subjects like Maths, Science. Dads had bought in worksheets, booklets games, eatables for the class too. Later on the Dads were served tea and had a chit chat with the Principal and Head Primary wherein they praised and appreciated the hard work and patience put in by teachers daily at school in controlling the hyper young minds.
BVS Management thanks the Dads who spared their precious time by coming over to school as teachers for the Day. Well Done Dads!!!
Recycle Activities
Students of Grades 3 ABC were briefed on the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) and had brought things from home which could be used for recycling. Something great and useful was made by students from recycled material and exhibited in the classrooms.
Educational Trips
Grades 1/2/3 were taken to the Mausoleum of the Founder of the Nation where they offered Fateha, watched the change of guards and the mini museum with Quaid’s essentials.
Grade 4 ABC went to Quaid-e-Azam House which is a house museum dedicated to the personal life of the Founder of the Nation.
Grade 5 ABC went to the National Museum which is counted among the top museums in Karachi and showcases the cultural heritage of our beloved homeland in amazing ways.
All students enjoyed the educational trips and came back with a bundle of knowledge about their homeland and founder.
Movie Day
BVS Management has always made it possible for students to experience the joy of watching a movie in the Cinema hall. This year students of Grades 1 to 5 watched the movie “The BAD Guys”, a highly entertaining and thrilling watch.
164th Birthday Celebrations of BVS
All students were invited to join in the celebration programme of BVS Parsi High School’s 164th birthday. Special Blessing prayers by the students of the four communities of BVS were recited, followed by a class photo taken in a special decorated photo booth.
A small entertaining program comprising of birthday songs by primary and secondary sections, talent show, Urdu and English speeches and a round of quiz specially formulated for Primary and Secondary was presented. Students who gave correct answers for the quiz questions were presented a mug with school’s logo.
Two students, Syed Hunain Ahmed of Grade 3 A and Zuhair Ali Shah of Grade 4 B who shared their birthday with BVS were also gifted with a Happy Birthday mug with their photos on it.
Each student was also treated with a donut by the BVS Management.
