The Spirit of renewal and joy filled the air as the Zoroastrian Community of BVS welcomed the advent of Spring and brought in the year of the wood snake with traditional prayers, gratitude and festive music on Thursday 20th March, 2025.
The lavish Haft-e-seen table was setup comprising of the following items that start with the letter “S” and symbolize something positive, for the coming year:
- Serkeh (Vinegar) for patience and age
- Seeb (Apple) for health and beauty
- Seer (Garlic) for good health / Medicine
- Sabzeh for rebirth and renewal of nature
- Sikah (Coin) for wealth & Prosperity
- Sheer (Milk) for sweetness
- Suzan (Needle) to mend broken relationships
Other items included colored eggs symbolizing creation and fertility, mirror a symbol of sky and honesty and candle (shama) for light. Besides this, traditional delicacies like sav, mitho dehi, dry fruits, scotch eggs, cake was also served.

Mr. Asad Umar, former Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives, along with his gracious wife also joined in the Navroze celebration making the occasion even more memorable.
