The Bvs Thunberg Society conducted a waste removal drive on the Sea View beach, an area of the coastline that is contaminated and polluted by visitors to the beach. The site is the epitome of garbage pollution, neglected and overlooked by the residents and concerned authorities. The BVS family therefore gathered volunteers for a Beach Cleaning Drive through the BVS Thunberg Society.
The Beach Cleaning Activity became possible by the efforts of the society Patron and President and other executive society members and the co-operation of BVS Parsi High School.
A team of 23 volunteers, accompanied by teachers visited the Sea View beach on Monday, March 6th, 2023. The participants put in relentless efforts, under the scorching sun, to collect a large pile of waste in decomposable waste bags. This dedicated set of students cleaned a huge chunk of the area, gathering waste material ranging from wrappers to large plastic bottles and even thermapoles. The team gathered the garbage bags and then dumped them into a large waste truck, feeling proud of their contribution to the society, instilling a sense of responsibility among the visitors on the beach, creating awareness and ending the time at the beach with smiles on their faces for their efforts towards an environmental and social cause.
