It is not just a day to commemorate but to reflect. A bright breezy morning saw shiny faced children and staff enter the school with great fervor and enthusiasm.
After the National Anthem and the school song, lovely “Milli Naghmas” National Songs were sung by melodious boys.
Four houses then competed by performing skits.
UNITY WITH DIVERSITY was performed by Soparivala House
CLEAN AND HEALTHY PEOPLE MAKE A HEALTHY PAKISTAN by Rezashah House
There was a pop quiz where the master –of- ceremony asked questions on History of Pakistan and gave away gifts of books to the students.
Then the Quaid-e-Azam house performed LET’S SAVE ENERGY- LETS SAVE PAKISTAN for their skit.
Lancelot House performed NO DISCRIMINATION–EDUCATION FOR ALL.
“RHYTM OF UNITY” was the theme for all the houses to perform on and what great dances were performed by the boys. BVS salutes the boys who volunteered to dress as females. All houses performed on all themes prevailing in Pakistan.
But the best was yet to come!
The Primary Section put up a fashion parade in the end with children from grades 2 to 5 dressed in diverse costumes from all over Pakistan. This was inclusive of the minority and their specific clothings.
The Principal Mrs. Mehernaz Bharucha thanked the three judges Ms. Nilofer Nosherwani , Ms. Tushna Patel and Ms. Rubina Naqvi and announced the house points.
1ST POSITION QUAID-E-AZAM 109 POINTS
2ND POSITION REZASHAH 100 POINTS
3RD POSITION LANCELOT 95.5 POINTS
4TH POSITION SOPARIVALA 94.5 POINTS
Later Mrs. Kermin Parakh gave away the Principal’s Medal of academic excellence to:
Muhammad Bilal Asher 5 C (Primary)
Osaid Ahmed 6 C (Secondary)
Ebadullah Arshad 6 D (Cambridge)
The judges were then requested to plant a sapling in BVS school.
All the students were given OREO Biscuits.
The staff stayed back for a breakfast of Halwa Puri.
